The Perils of a Glass House

Posted: March 31st, 2010 | Author: | Filed under: Design, Random | No Comments »

Living in a glass house would suck astronomically large balls. Lets start with the obvious, shall we? Everybody will be able to see your business, in every sense of the term. Hopefully, as this house depicts, you’d be living in a heavily wooded area with your nearest neighbor more than a mile away and hoping that they don’t own a telescope. Then again if you’re like me and you don’t really care too much about parading around your home semi or completely naked from time to time with blinds open when you’re living in a densely populated area, then this aspect of a glass house might be overlooked. The other downside of this transparency is that you probably shouldn’t own any expensive shit, but if you’re opting for this house and life style, you probably do. This is any thieving bandits dream; being able to case the house with the simplest of ease. One quick walk around and you’re done, being able to see virtually any expensive trinket, gadget or possession that could be yours for the taking, and all you really nice is a decently sized rock, a good arm and voila! You’re in. One option would be to carefully cover everything you own with sheets, but you know what? Fuck that.

Oh Snaps! It’s Sexy Time!

I love this photo take by Oh Snaps Carlos (Carlos Nunez). Sultry & implied; a naked, urban feel meets real life. The use of lighting is exquisite with the lack of detail in the figure, leaving lots to the imagination but at the same time not so much. View more at his site above or a smaller compilation from TrendLand.

Edited to say: Well… I think I need to adjust the settings on my computer at work because this photo looked wayyyy darker and vague than it does at home… oh well, still cool. Just not AS cool as I thought it was.

Last night (This morning – Depending on what part of the world you’re in) at 2am CEST the Large Hadron Collider at CERN fired up for its first fully (albeit reduced powered) functional proton collision, and guess what?!…

Bi-Polar Weather

Posted: March 29th, 2010 | Author: | Filed under: News, Random | No Comments »

Seems that everyone I talk to is experiencing the weathers finest mood swings. On my holiday to the Eastern Front we had a lovely week of 70-80 degree weather, then arrive to my lovely home greeted with rain and 43 degrees. And now it seems that everywhere worth being is being consumed with pre-spring torrential downpour again.
What is this crap!!!?!?!? Fix it! I’m ready for spring, I ready for my beautiful golden tanned body and not having to wear multiple layers to go the grocery store. Beaches and flip flops. Okay… on to dreaming.

Back on the wagon!

Huzzah! Welcome back! Or welcome me back, I should say. Either way, here we are again! After a random hiatus of job hunting and dealing with the fun things in life (bills, money, and more bills) I’ve come across this awesome artist, Lior Arditi.

This guy is rather clever with his concepts, I really like them a lot!

OH! Also! Chatroulette!

Posted: March 23rd, 2010 | Author: | Filed under: Random, Travel | No Comments »

So on embarking on my holiday I got stuck in the airport (again.. prior… whatever. I’m having great luck!) So after a beer and a good buzz… yes I’m a lightweight (now) I decided to see what the hell Chatroulette! was all about. Dear god, I’m completely okay with never trying in again. within the 5 minutes that I was on it, I saw two people masturbating, a plethera of very unattractive men shirtless, and a gaggle (yes, gaggle) of underage girls staring into their webcam wondering when the next penis would pop up. Sadly, I could not fulfill their dreams. Sufficed to say, it’s weird, strange, and gross. I’d much rather stick to being perverse, halfnaked and offensive with people I know well, rather than complete strangers. At some point I’m sure that could be used against me, but… fuck it. I do what I want.

Neither here nor there

I made it the first leg of my flight just fine. Nothing major, just a cramped seat in coach that pushed my laptop into my tits when the person in front of me decided to recline. Other than that and fending on a major/minor(???) sinus issue. Then of course something has to go wrong, as we’re pushing off the tarmak of the second airport, the lovely Minneapolis the plane starts bumping and jiving, then comes to a stop. Pilot comes on in a southern twang and says that we’ve have a little “mishap” with the towbar (clearly trying to downplay some dumbass move someone just pulled). half hour, one hour, pull back to the gate. THEN… the pilots are past their duty hours and have to leave and now a new crew has to be assembled and drive their asses in, so we’re another two hours out. I’m sitting in the F (Fuck you MSP) terminal, with my butt going numb, waiting to crawl back into my big comfy seat and drink myself into a 3 hour slumber. At least the rest of my holiday went absolutely perfectly, no sarcasm, the truth! Updates soon!

Play us a song Chatroulette! piano man

I haven’t got a chance to try Chatroulette! yet. Meaning, I haven’t quite made the time to get drunk enough to make an absolute ass out of myself (not that I normally don’t) to complete strangers on the internet, typically I stick to making an ass out of myself to my close friends and acquaintances. Nothing like making an awkward situation even more awkward, right? More often than not I think most people should be indiscriminately wiped off the face of the planet. But, this gives me faith in the human race once more, barely, but just enough so.

Spaghetti Project

You’re thinking pasta, I know it. BUT YOU’RE WRONG! The Spaghetti Project (real site is currently under construction) is a dope boutique in Fredericksburg, Virginia that as they put it are dedicated to “provide and expose the area to the wonderful world of Vinyl, Lorbrow Art, Apparel, and overall creative way of life.” I think I can dig it.

And after seeing this ^^^ I’m officially in love with the place. I want that so bad!!!!
