Rosh Love

Courtesy of Design Your Trust I found Rosh aka Raúl Gandolfo from Elche, Spain who takes texture and spray paint to a whole new level. His use of colour and his canvas choices really make the art for me, the surreal renditions of female faces are beautiful too. His style is applicable to everything from urban street art to commissioned wall pieces in establishments to art shows.

I post NSFW and then I realise that not much of what I post is, but by now you’ve figured that out, i hope… ANYWAY. I came across Ben Newman’s art earlier today and checked out his website. It’s self proclaimed, “naughty art, filthy fairytales and other perverted nonsense” – he had me at naughty. I’ll post one of the “tamer” ones now, and the rest are after the jump ;)

I’m not sure how this slipped past me/us/everyone I know before, seeing as I try to keep up to date by scouring the internet for various art things and stuffs. But here it is and it looks amazing. The G40 is a compilation of artists from all over the world who’ve taken over a warehouse for the next month and gone balls out with the most amazing amalgamation of art on every wall on every floor.

I am a consumer whore, name brand and designer jeans are my vice and calling. And boy do they make my ass look great. I remember being on a gig stint weekend in Victoria, BC and perusing the boutiques kicking myself in the ass for not being able to afford Salvage. But my day has come, and I’m bragging, and their designs are so hot. Eat your heart out.

Going to any movie on an opening night and not getting there early enough, you’re sure to get some crap seats. It also helps if you park in the wrong garage downtown (a couple blocks away) and don’t realise it until it’s too late to turn around, and since you have everyone else’s tickets on you, no one can go in an get a seat for everyone.
