And here we go again with another example of ignorance, and lack of appreciation/understanding for anything that falls outside of the scope of “acceptable art.” This time, and not the first, in Brisbane, Australia.
A legally commissioned wall by world renowned artist, Anthony Lister, was buffed less than 48 hours after completion. It seems that if it’s not on canvas, or in a museum, or if it doesn’t cost $50,000+ it’s considered an eyesore, lacking creative worth or any aesthetic at all.
“I have children and I don’t want to explain to them on a billboard what ‘Longer lasting sex’ means. I find that offensive. Why does that stay yet artwork is removed?”

A sick piece by Abort, photographed by the prolific Jazi.

Nice video of Rime hitting up various locations around Europe. This guy is steady as fuck. Complete with a dope tune by Ratatat, some fucking weird Irish/Gaelic freestyle bullshit, and other various entertainment. Enjoy!
JNW: u could paint things like this (NSFW).
Me: I would do a better job
Me: she’d look more into it and less mentally handicapped…
Krink is fun! Neon is amazing! and the music is boppy & nerdy. I found myself bouncing around to it and then immediately wanting to go draw on things that do not belong to me ;)

This weekend was the launch of Martha Coopers new book “Name Tagging” in NYC. A prolific photojournalist from Baltimore, MD who has been documenting the proliferation of Graffiti throughout the East Coast (mainly New York) since the 1970′s and has some amazing works to show for it. Historical too, depending on how you view the art (yes, I said it, fuck you, it’s art).

I’d imagine the event went amazingly, seeing as it was sponsored by Obey & Stella too, who doesn’t like to quote A Street Car Named Desire, when ordering a beer?! Undoubtedly a lot of heads came to be a part of it too. I’ll report back with reviews, photos, etc. as soon as I can get my hands on them.
Some cool stop motion street art to take the edge of your painful and slow Monday…
…It’s 5 o’clock somewhere, right??
Shocking! I know. I can actually admit that I don’t hate everyone, but only sometimes. There are only a select few people that I have the patience and even desire to hear anything from, and even fewer that I communicate with on a personal basis. The general populous should re-adopt the whole ‘do not speak until spoken to’ mentality. The world would be such a better place.
…In lieu of all that, I’ve been following Revok1‘s blog for a decent amount of time.

There is always some random, awesome, arty, and badassery that is spewing from whatever part of the world he’s parked his ass in to update from. And if you’re on the graffiti tip, it’s definitely something you’ll want to keep track of as there’s always dope videos and pictures going up on that level.
