Nice video of Rime hitting up various locations around Europe. This guy is steady as fuck. Complete with a dope tune by Ratatat, some fucking weird Irish/Gaelic freestyle bullshit, and other various entertainment. Enjoy!
Krink is fun! Neon is amazing! and the music is boppy & nerdy. I found myself bouncing around to it and then immediately wanting to go draw on things that do not belong to me ;)
The Baltimore Love Project is defined by 20 murals of varying sizes all depicting the LOVE design created by Michael Owen. Intended to galvanize the locals to do something positive for the city of Baltimore, because as the rest of the country knows via The Wire, shits serious and dangerous! Also involved is Innovate Baltimore who focuses on building and strengthening the greater B-more community. (Flyer/info after the jump)
Screen Printing is fun! Or maybe I have a skewed sense of what I consider a good time…
The video shows the process of making a shirt from concept to completion in a few short minutes. It’s accompanied by some interesting music, but I highly recommend you listen to Doomtree – Drumsticks while you watch instead…
This weekend was the launch of Martha Coopers new book “Name Tagging” in NYC. A prolific photojournalist from Baltimore, MD who has been documenting the proliferation of Graffiti throughout the East Coast (mainly New York) since the 1970′s and has some amazing works to show for it. Historical too, depending on how you view the art (yes, I said it, fuck you, it’s art).
I’d imagine the event went amazingly, seeing as it was sponsored by Obey & Stella too, who doesn’t like to quote A Street Car Named Desire, when ordering a beer?! Undoubtedly a lot of heads came to be a part of it too. I’ll report back with reviews, photos, etc. as soon as I can get my hands on them.
Found by someone that I’m very fond of & very fortunate to know: A beautiful short documentary on real advertisement painters. The Album Leaf is amazing music as well. I high encourage anyone who doesn’t know to find out immediately. Much love.
Ji Yong Ho creates sculptures out of old tires, creepy and very cool! I have neither the dedication or patience to create something that is undoubtedly quite labor intensive, so much respect to him for the idea and execution of them. I wonder if they float….
